PM Modi condoles loss of lives in Nepal bus accident

New Delhi, Apr 22 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday condoled the loss of lives in the bus accident at Neubise in Nepal.
"Very saddening news from Nepal. My thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives in the bus accident at Neubise. A Team from our Embassy in Nepal reached the spot within an hour of the accident to oversee rescue & relief operations. Embassy officials are present at every hospital where the injured are being treated & Embassy is taking care of the treatment," the Prime Minister said. 
 
This comes after a bus fell off the road in Nepal's Dhading  district which killed at least 17 Indian pilgrims as they were returning to the Indian city of Gorakhpur after a pilgrimage to Pashupatinath Temple in the Himalayan nation on Wednesday, media reports said.
 
According to reports, 39 others were injured in the mishap.
 
"The bus with Indian number plate GJ14X9900 fell some 200 meters down the road while negotiating a sharp bend along the downhill stretch of Prithivi Highway at Jhyaprekhola in Dhading district at around 6:40 this morning," ekantipur.com reported.
 
As many as 45 passengers were present in the bus when the mishap occurred, reports said.
 
The injured people were undergoing treatment in different hospitals.
 
A team of Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and locals rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations.
