PM Modi appreciates Omar for participating in 'Swachh Bharat' campaign

New Delhi, Oct 24 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday appreciated Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for taking part in the much-touted ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign, a cleanliness drive launched by the PM.

“Wonderful effort by @abdullah_omar! His efforts towards Swachh Bharat will inspire people of J&K and will strengthen the Mission,” PM Modi tweeted on Thursday.

Omar Abdullah joined Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) officials in cleaning the flood-hit areas of the city as part of the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ on Wednesday night.

Omar and SMC Commissioner G N Qasba took up broomsto clean the roads in Weir Nagar, one of the worst-affected areas in the recent flood.
