PM condoles the passing away of ex-AP CM

New Delhi, May 11 (IBNS): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday condoled the passing away of former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and Congress leader N. Janardhana Reddy.
The Prime Minister in his condolence message described Janardhan Reddy "as a valued friend and colleague who served the country with dedication and commitment to the public good."
 
"A sitting member of the Rajya Sabha, Janardhan Reddy ji was a widely respected leader who distinguished himself  in various capacities in a public career spanning more than four decades. He was Chief  Minister of Andhra Pradesh in the early nineties and was later elected to the Lok Sabha three times," Singh said in his message.
 
The PM said that in the passing away of  Janardhan Reddy ji, the country and the state  of Andhra Pradesh have lost an illustrious son. 
 
Reddy died in Hyderabad on Friday.
 
He was 80.
