Moradabad, Dec 3 (IBNS): Calling people of the nation as his ' high command', Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said eliminating poverty from a huge state like Uttar Pradesh and others will have a huge 'impact'.

"When poverty is eliminated from a state like Uttar Pradesh, along with other big states, the impact will be huge," Modi said.

Speaking on the issue of corruption, he said: "Shouldn't I fight corruption? Is fighting corruption a crime? Why are some people calling me a wrong doer for fighting corruption."

He said BJP leaders serve the nation whenever they get a chance.

"Whenever and wherever BJP has got a chance to serve, our leaders have followed the path of development," he said.

"You, the people are my high command," he said addressing the gathering here.
