Pakistan govt making arrangements to evacuate its nationals from Yemen

Islamabad, Mar 28 (IBNS): The Pakistani government is making all arrangements to evacuate Pakistani community members and Embassy personnel from strife-torn Yemen, officials said on Saturday.

"Pursuant to the directive of the Prime Minister, the Government of Pakistan is making all necessary arrangements for immediate evacuation of Pakistani community members and Embassy personnel from Yemen," Pakistan's MInistry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

"In view of the situation in Yemen, Pakistanis are being taken to safer cities in Yemen from where PIA special flights will be arranged to bring them back home," it said.

A Crisis Management Cell (CMC) has been established in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to coordinate arrangements for evacuation.
