Guwahati, Aug 22 (IBNS) : After losing power in Assam, Congress faced another set back when more than 10,000 party workers joined the BJP in Assam's Karbi Anglong district on Sunday.

KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang, who recently joined the BJP,  said that the Congress now has no identity in Karbi Anglong..

"People of Karbi Anglong want change and development. The BJP- led state government will fullfill to the people's aspirations," Tuliram Ronghang said.

BJP MLA Sum Ronghang said at the the rally that Karbi Hills will be developed under the leadership of Tuliram Ronghang and BJP will get absolute majority in the next council election which is likely to be held in  December this year.
