Our upbringing was secular: Modi's brother

Vadodara, Apr 27 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's brother Prahlad has said that their upbringing was a secular one.
"Our parents brought us up in an environment which had no room whatsoever for any kind of violence. We grew up playing with Muslim children," Prahlad said in an interview to IBN Lokmat.

He, however, remained silent on Jashodaben's issue.

"I was very young when they got married. My brother has given a clear, written message regarding this issue to the media. I don't need to say anything more," he said.

This comes after Narendra Modi, while filing his nomination papers from Vadodara constituency for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections had accepted that he is married.

He has mentioned "Jashodaben" in the column for spouse, according to reports.
