New Delhi, July 18 (IBNS): The upper House of Parliament was adjourned till noon after the Opposition created a ruckus protesting against the against the government.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati stormed the Rajya Sabha as she severely attacked the government for their misdeeds and later threatened to leave the house when interrupted by the deputy chairman.

The BSP chief brought the issue of atrocities against Dalits in the state of Uttar Pradesh and particularly focused on the Saharanpur riots.

While interrupted, she said: "I will resign if not allowed to speak." Immediately after this, Mayawati walked out of the house.

Though not in favour of stalling the proceedings of the house, the Congress party also said that the Opposition's voice is suppressed by the government.
