Omar says Sajjad Lone needs BJP's support in the elections
Srinagar, Nov 30 (IBNS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has hit out at former separatist leader turned politician Sajjad Lone for meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said he is ganging up with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Abdullah said Lone has alleged his party of taking support from the BJP but his National Conference (NC) according to him is enough to fight the polls alone.
"NC will form government on its own without the support of BJP. It is Lone who needs to support of BJP," Abdullah said on Saturday ahead of the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
"Today, suddenly one of the leaders (Sajjad Lone) sees a brother in Narendra Modi. The brother who wants to remove Article 370, the flag and the Constitution of this state," he said.
Earlier this month, People's Conference Chief Sajjad Gani Lone met PM Modi in New Delhi.
Lone said that he spoke to the Prime Minister just about Kashmir issues.
