NRL pays dividend to Assam Government

Guwahati, Dec 3 (IBNS) : The Public Sector Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) handed over an interim dividend cheque amounting to Rs. 31.79 crore for the year year 2016-17 to the Assam government.

Managing Director of the Company P. Padmanabhan handed over the cheque to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in the latter’s office in Assam Secretariat on Saturday.

The interim dividend has been worked out based on the performance of the company during the current financial year 2016-17.

The dividend amount is equivalent to 35 per cent of paid up share capital i.e. at 3.5 per fully paid share of Rs. 10 per share.
