NDFB(S) militants nabbed in Assam

Guwahati, Jan 17 (IBNS) :The security forces apprehended two hardcore militants belonging belonging to NDFB(S) in two separate operations in Assam's Baska and Kamrup district on Saturday, defence spokesperson said.

Guwahati based defence spokesperson said that based on input of Gajraj intelligence unit, the Army had launched an operation at Dongmari Habibari area under Tamulpur police station in Baska district and apprehended a hardcore NDFB(S) militant.

The Army recovered two live grenades, large number of mobile phones, SIM cards in possession from the nabbed militant who identified as Dipak Boro alias Dwantham.

In separate operation launched by the Army Red horn division had nabbed another extremist of the rebel group from Mirza near Palasbari area in Kamrup district.

The nabbed militant was identified as Dev Mondal and troops recovered two detonators, foreign currency, extortion notes from him.

In past 72 hours security forces apprehended 13 militants including five most wanted NDFB(S) militants who involved in the recent massacre in Kokrajhar and Sonitpur district left more than 80 people dead.
