Narendra Modi wishes nation on Republic Day

New Delhi, Jan 26 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday wished the nation on Republic Day.

India is celebrating 69th Republic Day on Friday.

On this special occasion, Modi posted: " सभी देशवासियों को गणतंत्र दिवस की बहुत-बहुत शुभकामनाएं। Greetings on #RepublicDay. Jai Hind! "

Amid tight security across the nation, India is celebrating its 69th Republic Day on Friday.

The epcentre of the celebration is New Delhi where President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join to witness the ceremonial parade at the  Rajpath.

This is fir the first time,  10 leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations or ASEAN  are attending the annual event of India as chief guests.
High security arrangements have been made across the national capital fro the event.

Mobile hit teams, anti-aircraft guns and sharpshooters have been deployed to monitor the situation at the  parade route .
