Narendra Modi welcomes Justin Trudeau with bear hug

New Delhi, Feb 23 (IBNS): With hs signature bear hug, Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed his Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Friday.

A ceremonial welcome was given to the Canadian leader who is on a week-long visit to India.

" A ceremonial welcome extended to Canadian PM, Rt Honourable @JustinTrudeau at @Rashtrapatibhvn on his State visit to India. PM @narendramodi received Canadian PM and his family. #IndiaCanada," MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.

Modi earlier tweeted that he was   looking forward to meet his Canadian counterpart.

"I look forward to meeting PM @JustinTrudeau tomorrow and holding talks on further strengthening India-Canada relations in all spheres. I appreciate his deep commitment to ties between our two countries," Modi tweeted.

Trudeau, who is on a week-long visit to India, will stay till February 23.

Apart from diplomatic talks, Trudeau had visited Taj Mahal, Sabarmati Ashram, Golden Temple during his stay in India.

Trudeau has meet several Chief Ministers of the country and Bollywood stars during his stay in India so far.
