Narendra Modi pays homage to Mahatma Gandhi

New Delhi, Oct 2 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday visited Rajghat and paid floral tributes to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 145th birth anniversary here.

Raj Ghat is the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi.

Modi earlier tweeted: "Will go to Raj Ghat to pay tributes to Mahatma Gandhi & will pay tributes to Lal Bahadur Shastri ji at Vijay Ghat."

"Gandhi ji's thoughts & beliefs remain a great inspiration for us. Let us dedicate ourselves to building the India of Gandhi ji's dreams," he said.

Modi on Thursday also launched the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' in New Delhi.
