Narendra Modi congratulates Singapore's new PM on assuming office

Indian PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated Lawrence Wong after he assumed office as the country's new PM.

He is the fourth PM of Singapore since independence.

He is the first new Premier of the country in 20 years.

Modi said he is looking forward to work with him to further advance strategic partnership.

Congratulating him, he posted on X: "Warmest congratulations @LawrenceWongST  on assuming office as Prime Minister of Singapore. I look forward to working closely with you to further advance our Strategic Partnership."
