Kolkata, Aug 30 (IBNS): Headless, legless and armless body of a 27-year-old employee of a private sector bank was recovered from a roadside bush at Makardah's Raghabpur area under Domjur Police Station limits in Kolkata's neighbouring Howrah district of West Bengal on Wednesday, reports said on Thursday.

According to reports, locals spotted a suspicious sack with blood marks in a bush beside a lonely road at Raghabpur area on Wednesday evening and they called in the police.

After being informed, police from Domjur Police Station rushed to the scene and recovered the headless corpse.

"The body has been identified as that of Partha Chakraborty (27), who was a resident of Chakdah in Nadia district of West Bengal and was working as a loan recovery agent with Bandhan Bank," a local police official told IBNS.

"His body, hands and legs were cropped from the body and a birth mark was removed from his back," the official added.

Colleagues of Partha Chakraborty, who was posted at Bandhan Bank's Salap branch, said that the recovery agent went untraceable after 12:50 pm. on Wednesday when he was returning the bank with rs. 3 lakh cash.

Local police said that his mobile phone, bag and the cash were not found with the body.

However, a probe has been initiated into the matter while none has been arrested in connection with the murder so far.

"We are examining his call details and mobile tower locations to track his movements until death while his family members and colleagues are being interrogated," an investigator said.

"We are suspecting that the killer knew Partha Chakraborty very well," the official added.
