Mumbai, May 30 (IBNS): The Mumbai Police has contacted Google and YouTube asking the companies to block stand-up comedian Tanmay Bhat's video allegedly mocking Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar, media reports said.

Comedy group AIB's Tanmay Bhat is said to have posted a video on Facebook titled Sachin vs Lata Civil War, on May 23, where he allegedly mocked both cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and singing legend, Lata Mangeshkar.

Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navanirman Sena has reportedly filed a police complaint against Tanmay Bhat.

Tweeted actor Riteish Deshmukh, "Am absolutely shocked. Disrespect is not cool and neither is it funny."

Veteran actor Anupam Kher tweeted, "I am 9 times winner of #BestComicActor. Have a great sense of humor. But This's NOT humor. #Disgusting&Disrespectful."
