Most wanted IM-SIMI terrorist, involved in multiple blasts, arrested

New Delhi, Jan 23 (IBNS) : Abdul Shubhan Qureshi, a most wanted terrorist and the alleged mastermind of 2008 Gujarat, Delhi serial blasts was arrested by Delhi police on Monday following a brief exchange of fire, media reports said.

He is one of the founding members of Indian Mujahideen (IM).

Qureshi, also known as Abdus Subhan,  is also suspected of being associated with the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), and is thought to have been involved in the 2006 Mumbai train bombings.

He was listed on the NIA's most wanted list, who carries a reward of  of Rs 4 lakh for information about him.

According to reports, one case against him includes his alleged participation in a secret training camp in 2007 that was organised by SIMI activists in Thangalpara, Kerala.
