Modi pays tribute to B. R. Ambedkar

New Delhi, Dec 6 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid tribute to the architect of the Indian Constitution Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on his 58th death anniversary.

"On his Mahaparinirvana Diwas, I bow to the venerable Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. His contribution to the Nation is eternal & invaluable," Modi tweeted.

"Dr. Ambedkar was a man ahead of his time. We remember his efforts to eradicate social evils & the importance he gave to education," he said.

"Babasaheb became a voice for the oppressed & downtrodden. His ideals & thoughts continue to guide us in our quest for an equal society," Modi said.
