Guwahati, May 29 (IBNS): Nine people, who were badly injured in a road mishap, remained stranded for three days in a remote village in Mizoram before finally being rescued.

The accident took place between Ngampabung and Phulpui of Pherzawl district in Mizoram on May 24, when a Bolero vehicle fell down at least 300 metres as a landslide hit the road. Nine people were injured in the accident.

Those involved in the accident were on their way to Phulpui village to attend a funeral service.

But since then the injured people remained stranded in the village where the basic medical facilities were not available for their first aid.

According to reports, one of the victims broke his ribs and had injuries in the head and nose and another had a broken arm.
