Minor allegedly gang-raped in West Bengal, 1 held

Kolkata/Burdwan, Sept 20 (IBNS): Police on Tuesday booked a minor boy for allegedly raping a seventh standard girl in Burdwan district of West Bengal, reports said.

According to reports, while the minor girl was returning from a fair in the evening, four boys forcibly took her in an isolated place nearby and allegedly gang-raped her at Simlan village under Kalna Police Station limits in Burdwan district.

After being rescued in a serious condition at night, the girl is being treated at Kalna Sub-Divisional Hospital.

Police, however, booked one accused in connection with the case, while three others are still absconding, officials said.
