Militants kill CRPF personnel

Srinagar, Sept 26 (IBNS): The militants on Friday killed a CRPF personnel in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar city on Friday, officials said.

According to reports, militants fired on a bunker of the CRPF 44 Bn where the personnel was injured.

The CRPF personnel was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.

Meanwhile, top officials of the CRPF and the Jammu and Kashmir Police rushed to the spot and cordoned the whole area to nab the militants.

A top police official told IBNS that militants quickly fled from the spot after killing the CRPF personnel.

He said the whole area has been cordoned off.

The deceased personnel was identified as Tarat Khan Nishat of Utar Pradesh
