Maoists are rising in Chhattisgarh once again as Congress is giving them confidence: Modi

| @indiablooms | Apr 16, 2019, at 03:56 pm

Korba, Apr 16 (IBNS): Visiting Chhattisgarh and addressing a rally in the state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday targeted the Congress over the recent Maoist attack and said a conspiracy is being hatched to take the region to the path of violence.

"There is a conspiracy to push the state into violence," Modi said.

"You must be aware of these people who are supports of the Maoists and Naxalites," Modi said.

He said the Congress even used to refer the Maoists as “revolutionaries”.

He even said that the Congress has years of experience in 'cheating' people.

Speaking on the Congress manifesto, Modi said: "The Congress has announced that in case they form the government then they will remove the sedition law. This mean that those who want to spread terror in the country will be given a free hand."

He said that the Maoists in the state are once again rising as they are gaining confidence from the Congress.

Interestingly, Congress won the Assembly polls in the state last year and formed the government.

BJP leader Bhima Mandavi and four security men died in a Maoist attack in the state last week.
