Maneka Gandhi hails Jayalalithaa as one of the greatest woman leaders

New Delhi, Dec 6 (IBNS) Union Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi hailed deceased Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayaram Jayalalithaa as one of the greatest woman leaders, while mourning her demise.

"I am deeply saddened by the news of Jayalalithaa ji passing. We indeed have lost one of the greatest woman leaders. My sincere condolences," Maneka's tweet read.

Jaya, popularly known as Amma, breathed her last on Monday night at Chennai Apollo Hospitals.

She will be cremated at Marina Beach at 4:30 pm on Tuesday.
