New Delhi, Nov 20 (IBNS): A man attacked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal with chilli powder outside his office in the secretariat here on Tuesday.

The attacker has been taken to custody.

He has been identified as Anil Kumar.

Reacting to the incident, Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party tweeted: "Dangerous attack on Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. Serious security lapses from Delhi Police. Even the Chief Minister is not safe in Delhi."

The party also blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party for the attack on the CM.

"How can any random person walk into the Secretariat and attack the Chief Minister. Arvind Kejriwal has faced many such attacks on regular basis. This is a serious security lapse," said AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj during a press conference.

He further said: "Rogue elements who are attacking the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal are backed by the BJP."
