Mamata has forgotten all her promises: Sonia Gandhi

Sujapur/Murarai , Apr 13 (IBNS): Alleging a nexus between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday said West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee forgot all the promises she had made to the people before coming to power in the state five years ago.

"Five years ago we believed her but she forgot all her promises after assuming power in the state," Gandhi said.

She said: "BJP and TMC are two sides of the same coin. Both Shri Modi & Smt Mamata Banerjee have bluffed the people."

Gandhi attacked Banerjee and Modi while saying: "I am cautioning you, one who calls herself Didi and one who keeps raising the chant 'Namo Namo' are hand in glove with each other."

Forming an alliance with the Congress, Mamata Banerjee-led TMC had toppled the 34-year-ruled Left Front government in West Bengal in 2011.

The Congress and Left have now formed an alliance for the ongoing West Bengal Assembly polls.
