Mamata Banerjee's government extends COVID-19 restrictions in West Bengal till Sept 30

Kolkata/UNI: The West Bengal government on Wednesday extended all the existing COVID-19 restrictions till September 30.

All outdoor activities, including the movement of people and vehicles, will be prohibited between 11 pm and 5 am, as per the order.

"Any violation of the restriction measures will be liable to be proceeded against as per the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and relevant sections of the IPC," an official notification said.

However, health services, law and order, essential commodities and other emergency services are not under the purview of the restriction.
