Mamata Banerjee slams BJP leaders for lacking 'courtesy'

| @indiablooms | Jul 07, 2021, at 03:43 am

Kolkata/IBNS: Targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday said the saffron party members do not have courtesy as well as decency.

Banerjee said the same was evident from the ruckus they created during Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar's inaugural speech in the Assembly.

On July 2, Dhankhar had tabled his address and after reading out a few lines of his speech, there were sporadic protests over incidents of post-poll violence in the state.

During her speech in the House, Banerjee said that the governor was chosen by the BJP leadership at the Centre.

The CM said Dhakhar should have been allowed to address the House by the saffron party's MLAs in the state.
