Kolkata: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday congratulated her party candidates as the Trinamool Congress is on the verge of registering a victory in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation polls.

"Heartiest congratulations to all candidates for your victory in the KMC elections. Remember to serve people with utmost diligence and gratitude!," Banerjee tweeted.

" I wholeheartedly thank every single resident of KMC for putting their faith on us, once again," she said.

Consolidating its position in West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has swept the violence-marred Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) Elections 2021, which was held last Sunday.

The ruling TMC is set to keep its hold in all 16 Boroughs in the city.
