Maharashtra: Three killed as jeep crashes into 2 motorcycles in Aurangabad

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jul 6 (UNI) Three people, including two motorcyclists and a pillion rider, were killed after a jeep crashed into two motorbikes on Vaijapur-Khandala road in front of the MIT Colony here.

The trio were proceeding to Vaijapur from Rotegaon on two different motorcycles while the jeep travelling to Khandala from Vaijapur hit both motorcycles on Friday night, police said.

In this accident, a motorcyclist Bhagwan Somase (38, Mhaski) and pillion rider Mahavir Bohra (60, Vaijapur) were killed on the spot while another motorcyclist Vishnu Shinde (28, Rotegaon) was seriously injured.

Shinde was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) at Aurangabad after preliminary treatment at the sub-district hospital, but he succumbed on way to the Hospital.

Bohra was the retired health officer, sources added.
