Aurangabad, Mar 2 (UNI): Raid was on Saturday conducted in Aurangabad divisional jail leading to recovery of incriminating articles including cell phones and a knife.

Police Superintendent Rahul Ranjan Mahiwal said here that raid was conducted in Aurangabad jail leading to seizure of four cell phones, four chargers, one knife and other incriminating articles from possession of prisoners lodged in various wards of the jail.

A thorough inquiry had been ordered to fix responsibility on erring officials and policemen as despite high level security arrangements, how incriminating articles reached inside the jail, he added.

"It was a routine raid conducted in jail from time to time," Mahiwal said, adding that stern action would be taken against those found guilty in the case.
