Maharashtra Assembly polls: Top BJP brass hold meeting
Mumbai, Oct 19 (IBNS): As the current picture shows that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is leading in the counting process of the Maharashtra Assembly Elections, heads for no single majority, top party leaders in the state are holding a meet on Sunday to decide on the way ahead.
Top Maharashtra BJP leaders Devendra Fadnavis, Vinod Tawde and Om Mathur are holding a meet on their future course of action.
Going by the latest trends, the BJP is leading in 111 seats in the 288-member Maharashtra assembly.
The Shiv Sena is following with 60 seats.
In fact, BJP leaders are also keeping the channels of forming an alliance with Shiv Sena open, said reports.
Even, Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjau Raut said party chief Uddhav Thackeray will take the final decision on the post-poll alliance with the BJP.
Earlier on Saturday, the Shiv Sena showed “White Flag” to its estranged ally BJP, and even hinted at post-poll alliance, courtesy -- exit poll results which tilted in favour of the latter.
