Srinagar, Oct 5 (IBNS) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday urged people to dedicate the Eid-ul-Azha to the flood-affected people of the state.

In his message, he appealed people to celebrate Eid with simplicity by keeping in mind the plight of the sufferers of devastating floods.

According to a government spokesman, Omar sought the wholehearted support of people to flood survivors.

"Let us dedicate this year's Eid-ul-Azha to the flood sufferers and extend all help to them for their rehabilitation and welfare", he said.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Governor N. N. Vohra also greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and
prayed for their well-being and prosperity.
