Kolkata: Roof of under construction Amity University collapses, 1 killed

Kolkata, Aug 8 (IBNS): The 2nd floor's roof of under-construction Amity University Kolkata campus collapsed on Saturday morning which killed one labour and left six others injured in Rajarhat area, reports said.
According to reports, eight labours were working on Saturday morning when the roof collapsed on them.

Seven critically injured labours were rushed to a private hospital nearby and then one of them was announced dead. Other six were admitted in the hospital in serious condition.
 
CP of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate Jawed Shamim went to the spot. He told IBNS: "Today morning, the roof collapsed suddenly. One labour was killed and other six are being treated in critical condition. Name of the killed labour is Phulchand and he was the resident of Jharkhand."
 
However, Amity University authority denied to talk on this matter.
