Kolkata, Jan 7 (IBNS): A major fire broke out at the head office of Indian Ordnance Factory Board in Kolkata on Saturday afternoon, reports said.

According to reports, the fire was first noticed at around 2 pm. at the ground floor of Ayudh Bhawan in central Kolkata's Shahid Khudiram Bose Road.

As many as eight fire tender engines rushed to the spot and firemen fought for nearly an hour to bring the flames under control.

However, no casualty has been reported so far but documents were gutted.

After preliminary investigation, fire officials said that the fire might have started at the server room due to a short circuit.

The fire department, however, has begun a probe to determine the exact reason behind the fire.

The cooling off process is currently underway.
