Kolkata: 3 labours killed in poison gas leak

Kolkata, Dec 7 (IBNS): Three cleaning-staffers were killed on Monday morning by poison gas at Bantala Leather Complex area in Kolkata, reports said.

According to reports, five labours were cleaning sewage drains inside the Leather Complex area when poison gas leaked.

Five staffers became unconscious and were rushed to National Medical College and Hospital where three of them- Amio Pramanik, Chandi Pramanik and Ashok Mondal- were declared brought dead. Two others are being treated there in critical condition.

After the incident, other labours demonstrated at Leather Complex area.

the police have started investigation into the matter.
