New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday slammed PM Narendra Modi and said the BJP is celebrating the completion of eight years of central government's rule at a time when Kashmiri Pandits are demonstrating for past 18 days.

He also targeted the Centre over the recent killings of Pandits.

In Hindi Gandhi tweeted: "In Kashmir, 15 security personnel were martyred and 18 civilians were killed in the last 5 months. Yesterday also a teacher was murdered. Prime Minister, this is not a film, it is the reality of Kashmir today."

In a second such targeted attack in three weeks, a Kashmiri woman Pandit from Jammu was shot dead by militants in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday morning.

On May 12, a Kashmiri Pandit employee, named Rahul Bhat, was shot dead inside his office at Chadoora Budgam.

The latest attack on an employee in Kashmir has sparked instant condemnations from Kashmiri mainstream parties.

Police said the victim, a teacher and a resident of Samba in Jammu, was shot and critically wounded inside the High School Gopalpora area of Kulgam.
