Kashmir: Woman drug peddler arrested, heroin recovered in Anantnag

Anantnag/UNI: A woman drug peddler was arrested and heroin recovered by police at Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said on Thursday.

They said a tip-off Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Kokernag and Station House Officer (SHO) of police Larnoo in Anantnag raided a house at Larnoo.

During the search of the house, 500 grams of heroin.

Woman drug peddler was arrested, they said adding preliminary investigation reveals that the consignment had arrived from Mir Bazar on Srinagar-Jammu national highway through another drug dealer and the deal was being done in the house.

Accordingly, a case FIR No 49/2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Larnoo and further investigation has been initiated.
