Kashmir: One soldier killed, four terrorists shot dead in Shopian encounter

Jammu, Nov 20 (IBNS): One soldier was killed and four terrorists were shot dead in an encounter in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, media reports said.

Three soldiers were injured in the early morning encounter.

The terrorists opened fire when a joint team of the Army's paratroopers, the state police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were conducting a search operation at Nadigam village.

The search operation was launched based on intelligence input about the terrorists hiding in the area.
