Kashmir: Man found dead under suspicious circumstances in Anantnag

Srinagar, Jul 23 (UNI) A man was found dead under suspicious circumstances in south Kashmir district of Anantnag on Tuesday.

According to official sources, panic gripped Bijbehara when some locals located a man's body in an orchard on Tuesday. They immediately informed the police following which a team was rushed to the area who took away the body.

The deceased was later identified as Nazir Ahmad Bhat, a farmer. Police have registered a case and initiated investigation to ascertain the cause of the death.

Upon completion of all the legal and medical formalities, the body was handed over to the relatives for last rites.
