Chennai, Feb 20 (IBNS): Actor Kamal Haasan is all set to launch his political party on Wednesday, media reports said.

Haasan will launch the party in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, whom Haasan had earlier met, is likely to attend the launching event.

Though Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan and Bihar CM NItish Kumar have been invited, their participation is yet to be confirmed, report said.

Haasan had earlier said his mission is to challenge the status quo that has been plaguing the politics of Tamil Nadu for some time now.

"However, for this to happen, my thoughts and actions need to collectively resonate with the people," he said.

Apart from Haasan, another Indian actor rooted in Tamil Nadu, Rajinikanth, is set to float his party ahead of the next Tamil Nadu Assembly election.
