Kalimpong named new West Bengal district

Kolkata, Feb 14 (IBNS): Kalimpong has been named as the 21st district of West Bengal.

"Kalimpong has emerged as the 21st district of West Bengal today," Banerjee posted on Facebook.

Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all my brothers and sisters of Kalimpong," she said.

Banerjee attended the event.

"I was present in the historic occasion of declaration of new district of Kalimpong today with my team of Government of West Bengal, luminaries and distinguished persons from Kalimpong and the hills and thousands and thousands of bright and cheerful people," she said.
