Justice CR Sharma sworn in as Assam Upalokayukta

Guwahati, March 14 : Justice Retd Chittaranjan Sharma was sworn in as the Assam's Upalokayukta on Tuesday at a brief ceremony in Raj Bhavan, Guwahati.

Assam governor Banwarilal Purohit administered the oath of office to Justice C.R.Sharma.


It may be noted that Justice C.R.Sharma was the former Judge of Gauhati High Court.


The swearing in ceremony was attended by Justice Ajit Barua, Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, DGP Mukesh Sahay, Principal Secretary Home Department Hemanta Narzary, Commissioner and Secretary of Home and Political Department L.S.Changsan, Police Commissioner Hiren Nath, Deputy Commissioner Kamrup Metro Dr.M.Angamuthu and officials of the Governor’s secretariat, district administration of Kamrup Metro and a host of other dignitaries.
