J&K: Pakistani troops violates ceasefire in Poonch

Jammu, Sept 3 (IBNS) Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along the Jammu and Kashmir border in Krishna Ghati sector of the Poonch district by resorting to heavy mortar on Wednesday, officials said.

According to defense officials in Jammu, Pakistani troopers violated ceasefire violations with small arms in KG sector of Mendhar at around 8 pm on Wednesday.

"The Pakistani firing started at 8 p.m. and continued till 10.30 p.m. Our troops responded effectively and appropriately," said an official said.

No casualty or damage have been reported from the Indian side so far.
