J&K Guv visits Army Cantonment

Srinagar, Sept 20 (IBNS) Jammu and Kashmir Governor arrived in BB cantonment on Saturday on a visit to review the ongoing relief and restoration operation in the flood-hit state.

"Shri NN Vohra, the Governor of J&K was briefed by Lt Gen Subrata Saha, GOC,15 Corps on the relief and restoration operations launched by the Army under Mission Sahayata," read an Indian Army statement.

Vohra visited the flood affected areas inside the Badami Bagh Cantonment and was given a detailed overview of the damages suffered by various establishments within the Badami Bagh Cantonment and other Army camps in Kashmir.

"Vohra, commended all ranks of Chinar Corps for their relentless effort made during the floods in Kashmir towards rescue, relief and restoration operations, despite enormous challenges faced by the Army due to its own areas and personnel being badly affected due to the floods. The Governor assured all the support to enable the Army to overcome the losses suffered during the floods at the earliest possible time," read the statement.
