J&K: Encounter underway between security forces, suspected terrorists

Srinagar, Mar 9 (IBNS): A gunfight is currently going on between security forces and suspected terrorists in Awantipora village of Pulwama district in south Kashmir on Thursday, reports said.

The area has been reportedly cordoned off.

"Two heavily armed terrorists are believed to be trapped in a house. Troops of 130 Battalion CRPF, 55 Rashtriya Rifles and SOG Pulwama are involved in the operations," a senior police officer was quoted as saying by CNN-News18.
