J&K: Another man mysteriously shot dead in Sopore
Srinagar, June 14 (IBNS): Despite strike call against mysterious killings in Sopore town, another former militant was shot dead by an unknown man from point blank range in Badam Bagh area of Sopore town on Sunday morning, police said.
According to reports, Mehraj din Dar son of Mohammad Ahsan Dar was shot twice near his shop and as soon as he was shifted to hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
Sources said that Mairaj was shot twice and as soon as he was shifted to hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
Baramulla district is observing shutdown against the mysterious killings on Sunday on the call of Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani.
Police told IBNS that Mehraj was a former militant affiliated with JKLF. However, he was now associated with chicken business in his own area.
On June 9 unidentified men shot dead an health employee and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat activist in Sopore in north Kashmir's Baramulla district, while on June 13 unidentified gunmen shot dead Geelani Group sympathizer and president of a "Beopar Mandal" in north Kashmir's Sopore town late on Friday evening.
