Jharkhand: Election office of Arjun Munda damaged in IED blast in Kharsawan

Ranchi, May 3 (UNI) Suspected maoists damaged the election office of BJP candidate from Khunti Lok Sabha seat Arjun Munda which is located on Kuchai Road under Kharsawan Police Station area of this district.

SP Chandan Kumar Sinha said that around midnight four suspected maoists forced the four drivers who were sleeping inside the office to come out and later executed the IED blast in which the back wall of the office was damaged.

On the other hand, police sources claimed that 100 meter wire and a detonator alongwith maoist pamphlets have been also recovered from the spot.

Police said, search operations were on in the area.
