Jharkhand: Corona positive patient commits suicide in Lohardaga

Lohardaga/UNI:  A migrant worker who had tested positive for Coronavirus committed suicide by hanging himself inside the Sadar Hospital.

The man had tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday night itself. On Tuesday when a medical team came to take him to the dedicated Covid-19 facility they found him hanging. The deceased had used the bed sheet of the hospital to commit suicide.

The migrant worker had returned from Mumbai on May 24 after which he was kept in isolation ward of the Sadar hospital.

While others who had returned with him were allowed to go home he was kept at the isolation ward for being a suspect of Coronavirus. On Monday night a total of 13 cases of Coronavirus were detected in the district including that of the deceased.

Upon receiving information, Lohardaga Civil Surgeon Dr Bijay Kumar and in charge for Covid Care centre Dr SN Chowdhary also reached on the spot.
