Jharkhand: 2 killed in collision between truck and SUV in Palamu

Daltonganj, May 3 (UNI) Two people lost their lives following a collision between a truck and a SUV which took place on the NH-75 Ranchi-Medninagar road at Rajderwa village under Satbarwa Police Station area of the Palamu district.

Police said that the deceased have been identified as Munni Yadav (45) and Dinesh Yadav (35). Both of them were relatives. The duo were returning from a wedding ceremony when their vehicle had a head-on collision with the truck in which the duo were killed on the spot.

A police team which later arrived on the spot and sent both the bodies for post-mortem. Both the vehicles were seized, police said adding that the truck driver managed to flee from the spot. On the other hand, local claimed that duo were driving under the influence of liquor.
